Abstract: China manfispoides (Walker) which infests Carya cathayensis Sarg is reported in this paper. It has one generation a year and overwinters as egg in soil. The overwintered eggs hatch in late May. There are five instars of nymph, the first instar nymph infests the plant near the ground, the second instar infests leaves of the tree in the middle of June. Adults make the most serious damage to the tree in the middle of October. 90% of the, nymphs can be killed by 25% pyrethorn (1:1500). More than 90% of adults can be attracted and killed by rice stalks saturated in the mixture of 90% trichlorfon and fresh urine.
